I've looked through the files, same as Gray did. I only found McCall appearing in Late April '61 with the division generals in the April '61 campaign. I ran that campaign through January '62. I only have one McCall. Bowman, there has to be some issue with the files on your end.

What is that little icon with arrows that Blenker has? Never noticed it in my game.

Jabberwock, as a longtime lurker and AGEOD user I wanted to express my appreciation for this mod and all the time and effort you've put into it. It's made the game 200% better for me.

I assume you've finished with making portraits for the moment, although I did notice in a different thread that you had recently made a couple new generals for one of the scenarios (Kentucky, I think). That emboldened me to ask if you might sometime have the time or energy to make a few more Union generals that I'd really love to see with their pics.

So here's hoping that you might make (in order of how important they are to me): Jacob Cox, David Stanley, John C. Robinson, Godfrey Weitzel, Samuel Crawford and Eugene Carr.

I have to agree that the difference having portraits makes is immense.

I can also say that having tried to make some that the work Jabberwock and Jackfox have put in must be applauded.

I have to take issue with your order of importance tho Lukasberger :D

:D Well at least he's on the list. There's a whole lot more I didn't feel were important enough to mention right now ;)

Hehe thats right, actually I dont have much argument with your list Jacob Cox in particular active from beginning to end of the war.

I've done a few portraits for my own use but I dont have the patience or the touch to do them well which is why my hats off to those who can.

Please, note that I am not related with the official AACW improvement team. It is done by another person and maybe it is different to the already available ones. So just use it if you like it, while Jabber incorporates his own ;)

It has not even been tried in the game, so tell me if it works

Nice work Nikel, it looks great. Just one thing though, I do believe I've read that Cox had dark hair. I think these pics make it look like he did too. http://www.generalsandbrevets.com/ngc/cox.htm

The pic you have does make it look like his hair's blond but I think that's a trick of the lighting or something. So maybe, if I'm correct, you could make the hair dark? Other than that it beautiful, thanks!

and Weitzel was actually a corps commander, even a sort of army commander very, very late in the war.

I'd love to have them if you were willing to share. Even if they aren't perfect they'd be better than nothing, at least until Jabber or Jackfox or even Nikel made something better. For sure they'd be better than anything I could do.

Blonde hair was intended because the hair looks very light in the source picture used. In black and white pictures it is difficult to say

But if you want it black, let's see what I can get.

Excellent work Nickel very like a painted portrait mine usually have a corpselike tinge to them :bonk: .

I always assumed Cox had dark hair but as you say old photos can be decieving.

yours is far better, maybe a darker blue for the jacket.

Excellent Nickel you've given Jacob that Napoleonic look :) . certainly way better than anything I've managed.

I think that his hair should be darker but as you say the old pictures can be decieving and possibly the jacket a bit darker blue.

As a warning re my efforts here is my attempt at George Cadwalader alongside its recent replacement :)

Well dont speak too soon here are my so far unreplaced portraits ( Cadwalader was the first time I didnt anticipate Jabbers naming convention) they should go straight into a vanilla setup ok (but backup incase!). Includes such luminaries as Silas Casey and Benjamin Franklin Kelley.

Helps to put a face to the name even if it is a distorted waxlike face.

Thanks. Some are a little stretched :D But there's also some fairly nice looking pics in there too, Kelley and Stanley's unit pics and Kelly, Carr and Sweeney's army pics. I'll use them until something better comes along  .

lukasberger, Eugene Carr, thanks for the screenshots

The jacket seems a bit dark now and the head is huge and a bit descentered to the right in the map portrait. But if you are happy, better not to mess :neener:

Eugene Carr, that portrait looks strange, is it a coloured photograph?

The head is a little big, but the other portraits aren't exactly uniform in size. I'd say it works just great
