Sorry, try this:

Player Off Limits

Sometime, when opening the DivX Player, it goes out of the screen but it is in the taskbar. This component will bring back the player in the middle of the screen. The player needs to be close before you run this fix.

install the 'player off limits' patch.

Thanks seven, I appreciate and admire your persistence in trying to help me (and Calvinus :siffle :) . I tried your fix, and still it gets minimized and no video plays if I restore the window. I even tried other fixes, like "video diplay problems", "divx player reset", and "divx not in the the list of codecs", and still nothing :bonk:

I must add that I am currently trying this on my laptop as I am away from home, but the problem was exactly the same on my desktop...

The "funny" thing is that I (and others) had the same problem in Great Invasions, and the only "solution" was to disable the intro video.

(PS @ Calvinus: I happen to be at Rome right now... are you around ? :D )

(PS: Calvinus, if that serves as confort, I am in Rome in work (I will be presenting a lecture in a medical convention :bonk :) , and I have 0 time to play. Surfing the internet just to relax... :( )

Sorry for being OT... please continue hammering away those nasty bugs

Another try.

There are brand new xvid codecs that can be used as a DivX alternative

I have a similar issue with the introduction video : just sound with a black screen.

I am under 1.04e, but watched it with a previous patch (was it 1.04c ?). I had not the time to play since though...
I reinstalled the codecs provided with game but nothing happened.
However, the .avi file runs greatly under an external player.

The intro is nice, but be assured that this is not game breaking - I usually disable them soon... ;)

Mine works fine in the WMP program also. Not a bad intro, and I also disable those after a few views. It should still be fixed though. My intro plays with sound in a 3cm x 1cm box in the top left of a full screen dark window.

Same problem here - no intro video, even no sound. I was able to see it using VLC media player though, while not in game.

This game locks up my PC with 1 FPS anytime battle commences. It totally locked up in the tutorial once a seige commenced.

The latest patch invalidates my cdkey. Dont produce half-finished games. Its called beta testing. Learn to love it.

Once installed the patch, you have to launch the WW1 Configurator (Start menu > World War One > Configure Game) and type the serial key in the proper field.

With next official patch 1.04g I introduced a tweak to force the viewport of the Intro AVI to the fullscreen... let's hope it works!
