WW1 attempting an internet connection ?

Sat Nov 22, 2008 2:14 pm

I just got a weird thing happen. I loaded a previously saved game and a window of my AVG firewall appeared saying that WW1 was attempting to establish a TCP connection ??. 1.04b, and AVG version 8, same one since several months ??. I authorized, and was able to play ?. see attached pic
What is happening ? Could this be related to the crashes after saving games ??

And why the &$#» is WW1.exe is trying to connect to the internet ? Auto reporting bugs ?

Ugh! :bonk:

I know the source code of WW1 and I can tell you there's no place where I try to make an net connection, unless you try to host/client a multiplayer session...

Of course, I deeply scanned my PC before doing the patch.

Antivirus AVG v8.1.75, updated!

Well, I certainly was not playing a multiplayer game; I was loading (I think for the first time) a previously single player saved game. I also have AVG fully updated (not the free version, but the paid version) and it was the AVG firewall that aparently detected an internet connection atempt that I authorized. Maybe later I will cancel that authorization and see what happens.

But something very strange is happening... :8o: :sherlock:
