Before buy this game, I have a question...

Wed Nov 19, 2008 4:52 pm

Sorry, my English is not good, but I have to know a compatibility of this game before I buy it.. :)
I live in South Korea, so the locale of my Window is Korean language (as you know, Korean is a language of East Asia).
Using Korean Windows, I have had a problem to install and play demo version of your former games.
So this game has same problem like your former games (using AGE engine)?
Thank you..

Hi Siesta, and welcome to the forums :)

Sorry to hear that you have had problems with AGE games previously.

This game, however, is built on an entirely different engine. I cannot say if this means that you'll be able to run it without problems or not, though, since I do not have any insight into what caused your problems with AGE games and if this game will encounter the same.

Hi!

I can't answer your question, but you can try one thing with a former AGEOD demo:

there is a free Microsoft software called "Applocale". You can find it very easily in Google.
You can then start that demo using Applocale, where you can choose a language for the demo (ie. you can choose under what language settings it should run).

hmm.. I think my expression was not good. I have Birth of America, but I can't play and setup this one cause of franch language. Using Applocale is not compatible too. The thing I want to know is whether this game has an error cause of Franch language or not. I don't want to change my system locale..

Are you saying that you have problems due to the BOA being in French and not in e.g. English? You should be able to install with the option at least between French and English

In any case, this game is developed by Italians :)

I think it is because Korean windows can't recognize European language. When I choose English, the problem occured too. The only soluton is changing my system locale to English. But because I don't want it, so I had this question. Anyway, I think WW1 is Ok, so I'll buy and try it. Thanks to reply, Rafiki :)

You're welcome; just wish I'd have better answers, though :)
