I Cannot Combine Units

Sat Nov 15, 2008 12:14 am

I'm following the instructions in Tutorial 2, and the units aren't combining.

Any ideas?

Hi!

I had the same problem at first. It works but you have to aim for the sweet spot while dragging one unit above other to get the window pop up. The problem is that the sweet spot is pretty small.
I hope they fix this in the patch.
I remember finding the right spot around the union of figure and stand.

If it gets too frustrating you can skip the merging step just by selecting both cavalry corps with control+click on the panel and dragging them together to the region.

Regards!

Agreed! It is ludicrous to have something so necessary and frequent be so irritating to do. Very user unfriendly and it needs to be fixed pronto.

You have to be pixel perfect.

Hi Arsan can i merged units in different stack that's not are the HQ?
For example:
I have one HQ with 5 units
I detached 2 units from the HQ and now appears in the same zone 3 stacks
One with the HQ and 3 units and the others with one unit each one
It's impossible for me to stack the two stacks of one unit in one of two units
I'm tried all the posibilities of the pop up but isn't impossible :bonk:

My experience with the game is very limited, but i think to merge units from different stacks the only way is to do it on map, draggin the unit over the solider sprite on map and looking for the right spot for the pop up window to appear.
On the window you can select the stack you want to choose.
Maybe creating a shortcut key for making the merge pop up window to appear would be a good idea fot the patch .
The control+click system is only possible to detach several units of a stack together.
Several people around have reported than meging is much easier if you use the counters option instead the sprites.
Check the options menu for this. It can be a good temporary solution while the problem is fixed.

I've looked everywhere for the 'counter' option. Where is it?

Its not available on tutorials.
But once you start any real scenario you can select it from one of the bottom right set of buttons.

In a scenario, go to the option menu (Esc key)...you'll see the various display options...the last one is the 'grognard' mode, for on-map counters.
