Merger Pop Up stopped appearing

Hi, I was doing the second tutorial and when I need to transfer one cavalry unit to another cavalry stack I've noticed the pop up stopped appearing. At first I made a mistake and missed the man than I had two individual cavalry stacks from which I tried transferring one over to the other. The pop up appeared, than, when I selected one of the detachments (which were inconveniently named the exact same) it wouldn't work. I assumed I had clicked on its own stack in the pop up menu, I repeated the process changing the stack with no success and than I no longer get the pop up even after I restarted the game.

I can do this now, I reinstalled the game (don't think it was necessary but) it just seems the spot is very touchy but so long as I wait until it comes up with the army tool tip than it works.
