Out of Supply

Wed Nov 12, 2008 4:10 pm

I'm really not understanding this supply thing. I mean, I know that detached forces have to be near a HG to be in supply.

Here I have some detached forces that are out of supply, apparently:

I'm clueless on how to get these forces back in supply. Maybe the subordinate HQ itself is out of supply, and I must look for the main HQ to get my units back in supply.

On a related note, I love it when the game informs the user why something can't be done:

To develop such a complex game and then give the user absolutely no direction is an absurd way of doing things.

It was probably placed on the map this turn. Just move it to position, it will be in supply.

Yeah, I think that was it. So next turn the units should be in supply?

I'm not sure what you mean by "move it to position".

On another note, I was again fiddlin' online, me against me, and ran into a situation where it said on both ends that the turn couldn't move to the next phase until the opponent ended the turn.

I had to exit.

BTW, is there an online save-game feature?

In the lower right hand corner is the escape to main menu where you can save game.

I have noticed something usefull concerning the save game. During the 'Draw Event' phase I have twice been presented with an event listed in the right hand 'Event Kept' column and a couple of events in the left hand 'Events drawn' column. As soon as you select the events from the left to be kept they are transferred to the right column where the original kept event disappears. You are trapped in this phase and must exit game as you cannot save all of the required events.

The solution is to exit to main menu and save game. When you are returned to the game you can resume playing.
