I want you to think of what you just did, Rafiki.
You suggested to a woman that she talk more.
With all due respect, sir, I must ask you:

Mae wants to know

Tue Sep 16, 2008 3:50 pm

Silly little me doesn't know how to do polls, and that kind of stuff.
But I have a question for you gentlemen, and I know how I can ask it!

How many of y'all think that this is the most elegant, well moderated forum on the entire web?

Everybody who doesn't think so is allowed to be quiet.
And everybody else...? Just "+1"!

Just buy one of the stupid AGEOD game like "Napoleon in America" to vote "yes" instead, ok?

Arslan: I saw that film AT THE THEATRE and a couple of times since. The wounded Confederate soliders and the burning of Atlanta made my Grandmother cry!! I like Spanish Women; Italian too. O'Hara did not turn me on, neither did Shirley Temple.
My wife wants me to stay out of the way so I have lots of time for gaming. :p apy:

I am afraid that I have no idea what 'larrapin' molasses means. However, Southern women do have a way with speaking that can be attractive. As the old saying goes, 'When a fine Southern woman tells you to go to hell, she does it in such a way that you find yourself looking forward to the trip'.

I'm simply DELIGHTED!

Thu Sep 18, 2008 4:48 pm

Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you, gentlemen! A girl smiley, at last! It's absolutely adorable, and I don't know whether to giggle, or cry with happiness. I guess that I will do both.

I have decided that all of y'all are not only sweet, but simply just precious, too. And so, I have also decided that all of y'all are deserving of smooches.

For those who would like to be smooched :coeurs: , please form a line at the right.

:p ompom: for AGEOD! It appears that true Gentlemen are found in more places than the South.

Go to the back of the line, please...

GoldSpear wrote:You still have the Vols Dixicrat

Mr. GoldSpear...?
I am afraid that I shall have to ask you to move to the back of the line and join my husband, sir. There, the two of you will have plenty of time to discuss the stupidness of American football played at the University of Tennessee. Hmmph. VOLs football, indeed!

As a fellow Tennessean, surely you know that I have quite enough of a challenge on my hands each Saturday, unglueing him from the stupid TV football game... enough of a challenge, without encouragement from you.

...pardon me, sir...? Well, I am truly sorry if "its quite a hike", as you put it, to the end of the "smooches" line. If you should be so kind as to be a bit more thoughtful in the presence of a lady next time, then such unfortunate things as this little misunderstanding will never happen again.

I'll see you in a few hours when you finally reach the front of the line, and then maybe we can start our friendship anew.

Enjoy the exercise,
Aphrodite Mae

Southern men converse

Fri Sep 19, 2008 4:32 pm

Hey, GoldSpear. 'Sup?
Sorry 'bout all this. Wimmon. Go figgur. Say: you figgur we're gonna put a hurtin' on them Gators, this year? I shore am a'hopin' so. Hey: jeetchet...? ...Yont to? I got an extree san'wich, an' a Moon pie, if'n yont it. Bedder eat up, 'cause I reckon we're gonna be here, a spell. Affer we get aroun' the corner, we'll be able to see the door, at least. Then, I figgur it won't be too long. ...Hey, hold on a sec. I think that furrin feller over yonder figgers we're tawlkin 'bout him. I need to translate, 'k?

For those who aren't fluent in Southern, I offer this translation of my conversation with GoldSpear.

"Greetings, GoldSpear. I regret that the idiosyncrasies of women have caused this unfortunate situation. I find my wife to be beyond my ability to understand, sometimes. What's your perspective on the chances of our favorite American college football team to defeat our arch rival, this year? I'm confident that we'll defeat them. At least, I hope so. Have you eaten lunch, yet? If you're hungry, I have a surplus sandwich and a Southern dessert. I encourage you to eat these if you wish, because I believe that we will be here waiting in line for a rather lengthy time. Please excuse me for a moment while I translate our conversation so that our international friends won't be confused."
