The Tool Tips for Great Strategist say
"... +1 ability level, to his stack and subordiantes corps ..."
The Tool Tips for Gifted Commander says
"... an additional +1 ability level to the stack under his command. If in command of an army, subordinate corps also receive this bonus"
From my experince playing the Prussian and Austrian senarios, I knew leaders are very important. For the Grand Campain, I recorded the Senority, Strategic, Offensive, Defensive, and the Leader Traits for all the French Leaders.
I then executed the first turn and compared these values again. The leaders of corps for both the Grande Armee and the Armee d'Italie show an increase in their Strategic, Offensive, and Defensive stats. None of the Leaders in Napoleon's, Lannes's, Massena's or Soult's stacks showed an increase in ability score. I also removed some of the leaders from Napoleon's, Lannes's, Massena's or Soult's stacks and the Leaders ability scores did not change.
It appears to me these leaders are not getting their bonus or the bonus is not being displayed. Which is it?
Also, after the first turn, Murat goes from 4 -2 - 3 to 5 - 5 - 5 while Bernadotte goes from 3 - 2 - 2 to 5 - 5 - 5. Why doe these two leaders get a larger than +1 abiltiy increase?
