Backup Procedures

Mon Jul 14, 2008 11:24 pm

Greetings,
I have been involved in several PBEM games in which for some reason (probably user error!) I send the Confederate .trn file to my opponent, he sends back his .ord file and I execute the turn. I find that none of my moves were executed, but all of the Reb moves execute.

1. Does anyone know why this would happen? (It's probably pretty obvious)

2. What is the best way to recover from this situation, ie, what is the best way to restore the backup files in the folders? Should I always use the files in the "Backup 1" folder, or go to the "Backup 2" folder? I have warped my brain trying to decide which is the correct sequence.

Thanks in advance...

When you pass the mouse over your turn name in the Load Window, just hit the correct button (Home if I recall) to get back one turn. Do not manipulate the files outside of the game, unless you really know what you are doing.

When a turn is not processed, this is because all the files are not at the right place.

Thank you. I knew it was more simple than I suspected...
