MOD slowdown

Wed Jun 11, 2008 9:44 pm

Has anyone else noticed that, when playing with a Mod in place, the game engine is extremely slow in comparison to the vanilla game?

Just an observation. I am running on a P4 2.8 ghz w/HT, 3 gigs of RAM, 512 mb ATI Radeon vid card...so hardware is definitely not an issue.

Just curious as to other's thoughts.

PS -- in follow-through from my other threads, my chronic habit of re-starting the game continues :siffle: Maybe I should back-track and play through some smaller scenarios first. Still, great game, and I am sticking with it! Maybe some day soon I will officially issue a challenge to a PBEM contest -- though I will undoubtedly be smacked down LOL!

I am running a slightly faster processor 3.2 Ghz AMD but only a 256MB ATI Radeon and not noticed any slow down. I did notice a small slow down with installation of 1:10c Patch but after I downloaded latest Microsoft updates the speed did seem to come back.
Might be slowdown has a non hardware reason?

I am playing a couple of mods and have observed no difference with the mods but I am not exactly timing load times.
