Indians and VPs

Thu Apr 27, 2006 5:51 pm

Ok I just found out about this game yesterday and played the demo last night. Tonight I will buy it and start many sleepless night.
Ok here is my quesiton. I have read that VPs are scored for controlling certain towns and by killing enemy units. I am wondering if you can get points by "raiding" ex: and Indian unit takes and ungaurded town and then vacates is the next.
Another question is when you build a for you need a supply unit and an artillery unit. When you destroy the fort do you get these units back. I would think you should at least get the artillery unit back.

I am not sure what effect that Indians would have on VP's. being irregular troop they can not occupy enemy locations. They can destroy forts and/or depots, but the city remains in the hands of the original owner.

Forts require artillery and supply. Destroying the fort will not give you either cannon nor supply. Other threads address the reasons for this (game play primarily)

If the side controlling the Indians has the benefit of the Petty War rule (i.e. the French in 1755, or the British in 1775), each region with a city that is pillaged or occupied by Indians net 1 VP for the owning nation...
