Couple other questions

Two questions:

1. Can cities be destroyed instead of just captured? I have destroyed Indian villages and forts, but am wondering about cities.

2. Can I safely delete folders and files in the "Saves" folder using windows explorer?

1. no. This is on purpose.

2. if you know what you do, yes. You can even delete the whole saves directory and it will be recreated.
On the other hand, you have in games functions to delete and rename files (and don't rename manually a saved game, let the game do it for you, this can prevent errors)
