Strange Command Chain occurance

just playing as union and took memphis, i organized a corps in which FJ Porter had a division, and there were 2 other divisions and a 2 star general. when i made this union detachment a corps, for some reason it states that it is FJ Porters' corps(he is only 1 star), completely bypassing the only 2 star general i have in the stack, just thought it was strange.

If you look at the right hand column it shows him as a 2** General. I have found that some promotions are automatic. Don't know if this is as designed.

i see what you mean...must be a small bug in the program, when you mouse over his unit it shows him as a 1 star.
