Can someone please explain, in detail, how t5he new TAB Function works?

I am not exactly certain the scope of what you are asking, but the four buttons in the upper left open the Options Menu, the Create New Units Menu and the Strategic Axis in two different places. The Options Menu has tabs which take you to more options. The Create Units Menu tab take you to more units to be built. There is also a button on the lower left once this menu is open which allows you to select units by type. Finally, the Strategic Axis tabs can be accessed by using the keyboard function keys.

I believe Montbrun is asking about the new feature of using the tab key on the computer to give an ally an objective. I am unclear on this too.

Is that the "paint" / "ally request" option? Kind of looks like a way to indicate to an ally a desired area of control...
