Windowed mode and CPU sleep

Mon Apr 06, 2015 8:46 pm

If the game is windowed, is it better to have CPU sleep mode on or off? Thanks.

I don't know the answer, but since no one else has volunteered, I play all my AGEOD games windowed and with CPU sleep mode on. I do this because I will sometimes have a game loaded but will be working on something else for a few minutes. I honestly don't know if it is better to have it on or off, though, or if it really makes any difference.

This is interesting. JWW thank you for finding this thread and replying. I never thought of using sleep mode. I suspect the benefit is the game does not quit as it does if the sleep mode is not being used and the game auto shuts down. I too do not know the answer, but I will try sleep mode for those times when I have interruptions and must leave the computer.
