Duplicate Generals

Wed Jun 11, 2014 9:13 pm

There are a couple duplicate Generals.

For the CSA:

C. Field arrives with '63 Generals and Charles W. Field arrives with '64 Generals.

For the USA:

R. Mitchell arrives with the '62 Generals and Robert B. Mitchell arrives in an event. Perhaps O. Mitchell is meant: Ormsby Mitchell was a Major General and headed the division in the Army of the Ohio briefly in 1861, leading a division in that Army in 1861 and 1862 and the X Corps September of 1862 before dying of yellow fever in October of 1862.

J. Reynolds arrives with the '62 Generals and John F. Reynolds arrives in an event. J. Reynolds could be Joseph J. Reynolds, though. Maybe change him to J. J. Reynolds so it is clear.

Let me know if suggestions are sought for generals not included in the game who had command of division or even generals who were achieved the rank of major general. I'm working on such a list and would be happy to share.

The last is not a duplicate, afaik - they were, indeed, two different individuals.

-Daniel Webster

-General Joseph Wheeler, US Army, serving at Santiago in 1898

RULES
(A) When in doubt, agree with Ace.
(B) Pull my reins up sharply when needed, for I am a spirited thoroughbred and forget to turn at the post sometimes.

You are right. I just checked and they have very different pictures. In fact, the graphic of J. Reynolds is called JJReynolds.
