question on destroyed ships

Tue Apr 24, 2007 10:24 pm

question = sometimes during the battle resolution you might get the impression you lost or sunk an enemy ship. The short messages - when the turn starts are neither conclusive. Is it possible to have some small feedback on sunken ships. Now they seem to get hi-jacked by UFO's or silently disappearing in the Bermuda triangle.

by the way, can the events have a random outcome - f.e. Trent affair - might the UK react differently from game to game ?

Base game has a 10% chance for the Union to be very rude and tell the Brits that Capt. so-and-so was completely right in taking Mason and Slidal off the Trent, and that neither the Brits nor Confeds are getting them back.

The Union populance gets +10 NM, as they always enjoy tweaking the beard of the Lion, but FI goes up by 30, as the Brits are none too happy.

A bit more feedback from naval engagements (especially in the blockade and shipping boxes) would indeed be nice.
