Comparison of 1.10d and 1.11b

Sun Apr 15, 2007 2:51 pm

I have played the full alt campaign scenerio under both versions and have noticed the following:

1. Training occurs under 1.10d but not under 1.11b
2. Under the unit display 1.10d identified light infantry as irregular but under
1.11b the display just shows (unit). Line infantry is the only one displayed
under 1.11b
3. Under both versions I have never received French reinforcements 2,3,4 or
5. I have received 1 and Random 1 and 2. (This is for 6 full tries)
4. Some messages are duplicated under both versions, such as 6/9 Fleet in
Carribean and then 7/9 Fleet in Carribean.

2 and 4 are minor and don't seem to effect game play but I would like to see 1 and 3 addressed, particulary 3.

I have a saved game file for one that ended in 1784 if that would help. However, I might need instructions on how to send, and whether to send the English or American file, or both.

Thank you for such a great game.

We will resume very soon work on BOA, for (1) training seems to occurs but not for the fourth element a unit. (3) is already corrected in our version.

thanks for the report.

Thank you for the quick response.

Concerning training, none of my elements train under 1.11b, hopefully your fix for the fourth element will fix all of the elements for me.

Again, thanks.

Pocus, sorry for asking this again but your response to my not getting the 2nd,3rd,4th and 5th French reinforcements was " (3) is already corrected in our version".

Does that mean it will corrected in a future patch or does it mean it already works in the original 1775-1783 scenario and the 1776-1783 but not the alt 1775-1783 scenario? I have spent quite a bit of time testing all three and I never get 2-5 reinf.

An additional item I noticed concerns unlocked coastal artillery. I understood it could only be moved by fleet transport. My experience has been that you can load it aboard a fleet transport that has sufficient capacity but you can not get the fleet to move.

Sorry again if I am just dense on your response but a clarification would be helpful.

Thanks

I did some tests just before the AACW release and true, it seems the reinforcements 2 to 5 don't arrive. Seems it got broken from a later change in the script engine. Sorry for that guys, this will be fixed. I will spend some days cleaning issues for BOA very soon, expect the next BOA patch at the end of the next week.

I will also check the problem of the coastal artillery loaded onto a fleet.
