Crash on the Roman Civil War Scenario

Sat Nov 03, 2012 10:38 pm

Hello guys

I seem to get some crashes on my game and I cannot understand what the problem is. The computer has 8GB of RAM so in principle it should have plenty of memory.

Any ideas on what went wrong and how to fix it?

Thanks a lot in advance
Thomas

Is it reproducible? It is not clear from the log if you suffer from a video memory problem or from a corrupted save.

Yes it is reproducable. I did reduce the memory allocation to 10% and so far it is working without any issues but I am not sure if it is solved 100%.

I really love AJE but because I love it, I play it a lot and I have found some oddities too. I have a lot more crashes and weird behaviour than PON. Blue screens! something to do with the graphic card which has never happened on PON. Very slow GUI, as if the memory was full, which goes away when you restart and division by zero bugs. I can't wait until these bugs are isolated and fixed.

I too have had the occasional crash which doesn't happen again on restart. I posted one but managed to lose the save on the other. I have also never experiened a crash in other AGEOD games after hundreds of hours of play.

Cheers,
Chris
