Market Penetration

What is market penetration and how does it work? The manual mentions this briefly in a few places, but never actually explains what it is.

I remember reading about it several times too, but now I can't find any reference to it in the game. As Japan, theoretically a "closed" economy, I am trading with other powers freely.

I would imagine that it has something to do with forcing other nations to buy your goods, or possibly selling your goods to their populations on their internal markets, but since I have found no indication of either of those things being possible in the game, I don't know.

But, what is not done is that a third country don't really sell their goods to the 'penetrated country'... A lack yes, but the game is huge already.

Thanks. Do you know if this means that the implementation of this feature is planned, or has it been scrapped?

Not scrapped, as it is good, but given the amount of work required, I doubt it will comes out rapidly... We need a dedicated window just for that, where you specify who will be the 'beneficiary' of your extra stocks...

I like the sound of that. It's one of the few things currently missing from the economic system, in my opinion, so I'm glad it's not being left out.

No hurry, though. The system is pretty good as it is, and I guess your priority right now is the bugs.
