do the french come back?

Hi i was wondering i am playing the war of independence campaign 1775-1783 and when the frence declare war on the british they send a fleet over to help but after that do they return? because i am waiting for them.

Yes, there is several "Expedition Particulières" as they named it. 3 majors one if I'm not mistaken, but each is several months away from the previous.

They will bring a nice army of highly trained professionals. A godsend for the young Republic.
