"Reverse" foreign intervention

Lets say the French, in Revolutionary War, come in on the side of the Americans. However, things go so badly, the French decide its not worth the costs; they sue for a seperate peace with Great Britian and exit the game.

I'm pretty sure this option doesn't exsist, but it would be interesting.

Very smart idea. I second that. The question is: what trigger should one use?

Edit: Of course the French should be in the war for at least a year. It wouldn't be fun for them to enter and then leave a month later . So that condition should be there.
