New Strategy With New Patch

Mon Jul 13, 2009 1:52 pm

I played the new patch w/Kentucky and loved it, great job. My thing is now I have had to adopt an all new strategy with the following changes most effecting me. Playing as Union.

1. All my units in my first Army are now un-divisioned, this is wonderful for me as I can spread them out and change leaders more effectively (good for me).

2. Without divisions command pentilities are crazy until I can division (real challange).

3. I used to build a militia line from Kanasas to West Virginia, now if I hug too many units near Kentucky I risk it going Confederate (whole Kentucky change I love).

4. The states going later in the South helps me, but I can see it a bear for Southern players (I like).

5. Calvary cant take cities, helps and hurts my strategy, I used to like to plunder the west, now I cant but the South cant sneak em far North and plunder me either (I like).

6. I cant figure out how to demote, can you do this early on? I would like to demote some of the three stars early on and willing to take the hits. (Question, not really change)

Anyway, would any of you care to comment of these or post your new strategys with this patch? It is almost an all new game for me now and I would like to see who else had adjusted their play. Thanks!
