Crash while hosting

Mon Jun 22, 2009 7:49 am

My old computer crashed while I was hosting the tournament game between Darkmath and Redeemer.
What do I need to get the next turn resolved? I have the order files, I can get back the .trn files form the players, but do I need the .hst file? Or is it enough that I drop the .trn and .ord files in a subdirectory in saves, and can I run a turn then?

I'm pretty sure you need the .hst file also.

What is in the .hst file? If I restart a game with the same name and options, run the game the same number of turns, get back the .trn files form both players and add their .ord files, would it work? Or is there more additional data in the .hst file, like score and troops captured?

(meanwhile I ordered a new comp, and I'll try to get the old files from the hard disk when it arrives - this is just in case the harddisk format got scrambled in the crash. I really dont feel like doing a hex recovery on a 250 gig disk....)
