Stupid question of the day....

Thu Apr 30, 2009 6:17 pm

Hey, I'm a retired Sailor. Stupid questions come natural to me......

Sherman has been in the game for a while, and he has great stats. I pushed the command button and gave him some troops. His stats instantly dropped to horrific levels. I immediately rescinded his command and his stats went back up to the high levels. I have tried several times since, and that same thing happens. What is wrong here?

Husky, I think you are seeing the Division formation. Stick the units in, then leave them for a turn. His stats should return, the next turn. :) Most generals get this drop/return when forming divisions/corps; and armies, I think.

For instance, just ran a test with Sherman. He is 4-3-2 at start. Formed the division, he went to 2-1-1. Next turn he was back to 4-3-2.

Thanks, Doom. Now, I feel like a complete moron (not your fault). ;)

I have gone for three years now without assigning any men to Sherman, nor ever trying to form a division around him. He is still a one-star, and way down the ladder for promotion. To make it worse, I have hit the limit of sixty (60) divisions and can no longer form any – unless I dissolve one somewhere else. Oh well. I’ll leave that for the next time.

Again, thanks for the push!

No problem. It caught me off guard also. Especially the first time I noticed it.
