Simply...wow.

So I stumbled across Birth of America purely by accident (amazing what one finds when looking for something completely different), and went ahead and downloaded the demo. And I am simply blown away. What a fantastic game. I've been playing the demo all afternoon and evening and into the early hours of the morning, and I'm just about to run off and download the full version. I must have wasted the first couple hours just looking at the statistics for all the commanders, units, and regions. And yet the whole thing is so intuative.

And kudos to you for the game resolution. This is one of the few games I seem to have played that looks perfect on my widescreen monitor at 1680x1050.

I read some of the ideas posted for additional scenerios, and look forward to seeing some of those come to fruition. How about taking the entire engine and dropping it on top of the American Civil War? Seems like the perfect system to cover that conflict on a strategic scale, and there are so few games that cover the whole conflict at a strategic level.

Anyway, thanks for a great game...off to buy my copy.

Thanks much for the praises. Yes there is still things to add to BOA, including a full modding doc (we are half way thru, since 3 months, because of lack of time).

You can play BOA in any resolution, even a windowed 2741x723 if it please you! The next game will add even more support on that, because the graphical interface (made by our artists) will be different for stepstone resolutions.
