Multiplayer Issues in 1.05i

Wed Jan 28, 2009 11:27 pm

Dear Calvinus,

yesterday we spend several hours to get our MP game running again and after that didn't work, we tried to start anew, but also without success.

To major problems:

1. We tried to continue with the attached savegame (Hanno Entente, Fabian CP). We tried 2-3 times and hit the same bug:

Russian Front: I had to activate the russian I. Army first, this worked out fine (including combats). Then I activated the Russian Army near Odessa and moved it with admin move near the Austrian armies. Then I actived the VIIIth Army, I think, the next one north. I gave the HQ and the detachment orders to attack the still locked AH HQ and detachments (move there). But when I executed the plotted movements, they moved there, entered the enemy regions, but no combat and they teleported back to their starting positions. It also seems the programm did not recognize their movements, as when I tried to active the next army, there is only the coordination symbold available.

We could not proceed with this bug then we decided to restart the game.

2. Out of Sync:

When restarting we got effortlessly through all phases. Warplans Schliefen and Prinz Eugen vs. Plan XVII and Grand Duke. Also though the initial Diplo phase (where the large countries were all checked). But then in the 2. (regular diplo phase), Fabian and I got different results 2 times for Bulgaria. I got once the report -1 Entente, he got +3 CP. The next try was also different. As a result, he could not end the diplo phase and I proceed to the military phase. So it seems we got a different random number there 2 times. Then we gave up.

Could you please look into this?

Ok, I will look at the two MP bugs during the week-end.

Thanks,
Calvinus.
