Announcement - New Demo in the making
A new demo is being assembled and will be operationnal within 7 to 10 days. It will have the first year of the whole 1776' Campaign! Players will have then a chance to test fully and on the grand scale all the nice features of BoA.

I'm a curious observer waiting for the new demo as well. 
I have some questions though which I'll ask here to keep the topic at the top, heehee. I've been watching this game for the past couple of weeks and the other day I noticed that Birth of America was listed on Paradox's gamersgate download site for the price of $39.99. But on Ageod's site it's listed as available to download for a little over 30 US dollars (which I as a consumer find much more reasonable, hehe). My question is why is there a discrepancy in the pricing and also what are the benefits of buying the game and getting the actual box and manual over downloading it? Since I'm in the US the shipping costs are huge if I want it shipped to me, but I think I read there is a nice looking map that comes with the boxed version, is that true? If it is true, are there any plans for a US publisher to ship the boxed version here? I want the map, lol.

The difference in pricing between some EU countries and the USA comes from some somber reasons of VAT deductions / inclusions and also customs duties and other taxes, that are rather complex to detail (I am often getting lost to it myself)...

I thought Strategy First was bankrupt? They used to be the distrbuitor of Paradox's games in North America. But due to the major screwups that happened with the release of Victoria here in NA, partly due to money problems that SF was having, Paradox dumped them and went with Atari instead. Paradox still claims they never saw a penny from the sale of that last game here in North America. Why would you want to go with them, if the company is still around? 
The story is a bit different from what I heard, even if it is true they went bankrupt some time ago and worked some time under protection of Canadian law (the equivalent of chapter 11).
SF has been bought back by a financial company, Silverstar Holdings, that has provided them with necessary cash flow...
