(sorry if this is a thread-highjack - admins, feel free to move it if so)

I'm playing April 61 campaign in SFV mod started under 1.10d, and these two regions are still showing up as being PA.

Question about patches and save-games - do the save game files include data like this about region names, or to give another example, units & constituent elements, so that a game started under an earlier version will keep this data despite being patched?

If this is not the explanation, would a mod like SFV include data over-writing the latest patch's changes to region names?

In other words, what's in a save game which would be immune to a patch, mod, or mod update? I'd like to help by reporting oddities if I see them, but I don't want to waste people's time by reporting something which is caused because I haven't started a new campaign under the new patch.
