Confirming links between regions in LA

Can some one advise me if its possible to block movement from Sprinfield LA to Pearl LA (on the way to New Orleans) by sitting in the river region next to Baton Rouge??

I have been unable to order a Union force to Pearl due to a reb fleet sitting next to Baton Rouge. Is this a bug?

Sorry, if I didnt make myself clear.

I can move from Springfield to Pearl, but the move is plotted all the way around the lake north of NewOrleans and thru the fort to the East and thru NewOrleans itself. I cant seem to move/plot troops into Pearl from Springfield. What can be the other reasons that would prevent this attempt??

Thanks Gray, for your offer.

I have discussed this with the host of the PBEM game. He is 100% sure its a bad link between the 2 regions, we confirmed another bad link in Fla. earlier in the game. We think its the multiple patch upgrades during the 4-5month PBEM game that likely has produced some 'issues'. Anyway, we have decided to start a new game in any event.
Grant/Rosecrans wont get to New Orleans this game after all.
