Armored Cars

Can I not build them? Even after researching tanks? There are a few starting units, and it seems like their recon value is pretty useful, but I can't seem to build them.

AFAIK you only get these cars you begin with. Which is a damn shame .

AFAIK, armored cars were only used in the early months of the war, once trench warfare set in they weren't of much use (hard to drive a car across No Man's Land unnoticed )

They weren't much use in the west, which is why the WE shipped their armored cars to Russia and the middle east, where they were quite useful. Fore example, the Belgian Expeditionary Corps in Russia.

I don't know about these cars, but safe for their scouting ability they are not very usefull in battle, or at least I haven't seen them doing any significant damage, and since I already have planes i don't thik it is so important an asset. If someone can elaborate on the right way to use them it will be greatly appreciated
