1915 Post your saveif it is close to real life

Fri Nov 21, 2014 6:20 am

Since its most likely going to be awhile before we see the 1915 scenario, which I have always wanted much more than 1914 scenario but thats just me, if you have a save that is similar to the real life troop positions at the beginning of 1915 share it here. I'm mainly talking about the western front, but if youve also got a save that is close to or essentially duplicates the situation in the east post that as well.

I think that the 1915 scenario will also help new people especially WE bc it will allow soneone to jump right into trench warfare without the insanity of the war's inception.

Personally I would als be very interested in seeibg if anybody has managed to replicate the conditions in the west in January and the Spring.

We'll have an ad hoc 1915 scenario

If I don't reply it's because I don't know. :)

You do know HidekiTojo that you are asking the impossible for the moment. Most players are just trying to figure out the 1914 opening moves.
1915 should offer a brand new situation and it might be really nice to have a scenario focused upon this beginning, I for one always like different starts, but at the moment, you do ask more than I can say. Patience will be rewarded once we all learn this new game and its play.

I didnt think that it was impossible, if somebody has a save where they managed to end up with a similar situation irl in early 1915 then whats the problem in asking for someone to post it?

Ive never managed to see central powers lined up in trenches opposite my troops as western entente and vice versa. This should happen. That's the big problem with 1914, the likelihood of trench warfare irl happpening is slim to none.

Trying to break through a continuous line of trenches was what the western front was pretty much about.

It won't happen if you play against the AI, that's for sure.
PBEM I have not seen it happen, but I am sure it is possible.

Playing against the AI as the Russians in September 1915 my situation is not, repeat not, like RL. Instead, I managed to take East Prussia, Galicia and break through the Carpathians at Prezyml, Lemberg and Czernowitz -- with the line along the river at Debretzin. The Turks, Bulgars and Rumanians all came in early and while the Rumaninas have taken Transylvania, they've managed to hold the line along the Danube, but only with the aid of the Serbian armies who escaped the loss of Belgrade, Nish and the rest. I'm still holding Montenegro and Cattarro. So doing much better than historically. The CP are not doing well in the West either, as they've lost Metz and Italy is in the war.

If it's going to happen, a player needs to play all sides and implement the decisions as they come up according to historical dates and historical entry dates. That's a tough play.
