New Building Needed: Scrooge McDuck's Money Vault Warehouse

Tue Jul 17, 2012 9:51 am

Dear All,

It's 1857, I am S-P and I am raking in a lot of (Private Capital) cash, so much even that I am reaching the point that I don't have any ideas what to blow it on.

I can see the supply deteriorating due to having to much so my questions are:

1) How do I increase the amount I can store without stuff going to waste?

2) What am I missing that I can spend cash on?

I am currently spending tons on Colonization, expeditions everywhere, 80% of the world's trade boxes have Italian Merchant Marine, 98% of all workers are employed (Glory to the Proletariat) and I have standing buy orders on every good in the world.

You can build buildings in other countries, it just costs more. Preferably in countries without rebel problems and with greater than 25 relations, so that you don't lose your investment.

Any tips on getting relations above 25 and keeping them there? The only diplo option I see that increases relations is State Visit and these get refused 2 out of 3.

Other diplomatic actions/agreements (Supply, Passage Rights, Mutual Supply and Passage, Comm Agreement) also increase relations, I think, just as buying a lot of goods from the (target) nation.

use local support whenever you can, since it used to be a option, the other nation has not to agree to (i havent played it with 1.03beta yet, i am a old dog living from old experience with the game)

and dont worry, you will be in war not for using it, but for events anyway

PS:

also a thing you can do, not risking economic crisis, convert as much as possible from private capital to state funds. tax, custom etc. you will need it once you united and have more options
...not paid by AGEOD.
however, prone to throw them into disarray.

These difficulties accumulate and produce a friction which no man can imagine exactly who has not seen War . . . in War, through the influence of an infinity of petty circumstances, which cannot properly be described on paper, things disappoint us, and we fall short of the mark.‘

Thanks, I figured that out just now, stopped exporting Lux. Goods and selling them domestically to rake in taxes.

There will be a new diplomatic item in next RC that allows you to degrade slightly relationships, on the other hand.
