Next Turn returns to main menu

All of a sudden, when I hit next turn, I get returned to the main menu. This started in the middle of playing (i.e. I had played several turns without exiting and then this started). Closed the app and restarted and still happening.

normally, this happens when one of the game turn files did not write properly (my guess is you have Vista or Win7).

If so, go to your PON directory, to the VGN folder, then to the Saves folder. Go to the Backup1 folder copy everything and paste it into the Saves folder, overwriting the 3-4 files that are there.

You'll be back 1 turn but the game will work fine.

I suggest saving and quitting (and restarting) every 6 months or so.

Save your game turn files to an alternate location to be safe, then go back one turn, check for issue, issue still there?, go back another, rinse and repeat until hopefully you will find an uncorrupted save.

Yep, previous turn was fine.
