War supply v. supply

Quick question. Is the "war supply" that is produced via industrialization, blockade running, etc (used for building reinforcements and replacements) the same as theh supply produced and distributed to units in the field.

In other words, if I use up all war supply buying new regiments, will my troops suffer potential supply shortages in the field or are these calculated seperately?
