Saved games not found?

OK new fresh install to Vista. I can see in the game all my save game files. But when I phsically go to the save game folder it is empty. How can this be. I can load them from within the game. Could they be hidden somehow? Any ideas guys? I know I'm in the correct directory and all.

I have been going nuts for the past day trying to figure this out. Should I turn of my user control option also?

It works fine now. Wish though I didn't have to go through these steps to see my games arrrgh.
