Areas files

Sat Oct 18, 2008 10:10 am

I located a couple of Areas related files within NCP installation: Areas.INI, enlisting regions per area & AreasExtInfos.INI, setting areas colour.
It's also true CSVSplitter has a page dedicated to AREAS file processing.

No AREA excel file is included in NCP DB: Any possibility of including such files there too?

I alreay modded Areas & AreasExtInfos files, working gover INI game files.
Having moved Leipzig city from Leipzig Reg. to Halle Reg. I included Halle Reg. in Saxony!

The Areas file does not exist as an independant Excel file (I agree, it should)... :(

It is build from the regions.xls file, using the various columns for filtering (you have an Area column, as well as a theater one)...then some additions are hand made afterwards (like customs areas for events, or weather areas)...

We just liked time to "automate" the process, it is still one of the 'heavies' :bonk:

Okay, for now we'll going after Areas.INI for modding!
