Your FOREIGN RECOGNITION is at 800???

Where in the game are you presently? (meaning what month and year?)

I think he means he got foreign recognition and as a consecuence access to the French and British combat fleets which combined have around 800 strength points... but i could be completely wrong :bonk: :niark:

I do find it hard to believe that that kind of naval AND land power can be amassed by the CSA against Athena on HARD difficulty. Not calling anyone a liar by any means -- but I am sure you can understand why I would be skeptical. Land power massing is possible if one concentrates his forces to one theater. Sea power massing is possible if land reinforcements and replacements are all but ignored. But both at once? Hard to swallow.

Indeed, it seems you've achieved the presumably unachievable.

I experimented with it but building up a CSA Navy on hard settings - dont see how it can work - unless you switch off AI - As I said I tried to play a more naval game against AI as CSA - jsut to see what it would do to blockade results in WS and money but Athena just went on building up her land forces and I got my butt kicked. Indeed AI had adnavced further and faster than Feds done in actual war. I had no armies to stop advance.
So I am curious about actual game settings. I experiment all the time on hard settings.

i getting alot of income
200 dollars a turn about, then almost 200 in warsupplies a turn. during late 62 through all of 63 i only made a few divisions of troops to help push athena out of lower virginia so i had plenty to use on massing fleets it doesnt really take that much cost about 700-900 dollars for 15 frigates not sure how many warsupplies

i could have massed up my armies while the fleet but i was doing fine because i cut off athenas supply line by sea while she had control south of the james at winter time so that probably hurt her then i used johnsons core of 30000 men wipe the floor with army of northeastern virgina

a reasons why i have good control of washington d.c. is that i also landed all british troops from londen in delawere to move up and cut there supply lines and railroads plus athena keeps sending a couple cores up to upper canada to keep my british army there so she spread out, situation in the West is fine also because i been able to repel their invasion down the mississipi farthest anyone got was sherman landing in memphish, but i sent hardee corp from nashvile and richard taylor division from New Orleans

This is actually quite possible, even on hard.

Once you've got foreign intervention and the Yankee Invader on the run, you can pump all of your $$$ and WS (From thirteen states and probably a crapload of Blockade Runners) into a Navy, which should cost you about 6 turns to fully max out and get all the ships.

The big thing here is that the AI loves to sail past big guns with the US Navy, instead of mopping up or blockading your 'little parts of fleet' before they combine.

A CSA Navy is still useless imo, as the US Navy has probably been sunk by coastal guns. Looks cool though.

I never play with foreign intervention ever - disable the function as I consider it did not happen historically so I dont use when I play CSA. Hard for me is meant to be hard - no foreigners riding to the rescue.
