Wed Apr 02, 2008 1:41 am

Hey Ive been patiently awaiting the arrival of Gen Lyons in St Louis :siffle:
But getting into some turns now n he still hasnt showed up....whats up with that, he doesnt always show up at a set point I quess?......hmmm I always use him to lead my forces to victory in MO.....but if he sometimes wont show up this is a bad idea :8o: :p leure:

Hmmm no one knows eh??? ....just wondering if a bugged game or working as intented....He always shows up for me on the 2nd turn in a blurb at the end of turn Info.....I restarted a gme n there he was, wierd in 1 he didnt show up?

The event "The st. Louis massacare" dont always fire and it is with this event Lyon shows up on map. Actually I prefer to not have the event as Missouri then is unionist and will give you less problems with controlling missouri.

Make sure to allow some time to pass before growing impatient for any answers; you posted this at a time when Europe was soundly asleep and America was quietening down ;)

Playing as union, I just had the Sam Houston event fire and the MO massacre has not fired - so, I don't get Lyons but get 2 free cav units in Dallas. Never had that happen before... :sourcil:

In my current PBEM the St. Louis Massacre event never fired either. I'm playing as the CSA and it basically put to rest any ambitions I had on controling Missouri. :( .

So it's crappy for both sides.

Controlling Missouri is the least of your worries right now... :sourcil:

As the Union basically Lyon creates a mess in Missouri and then has to fight to clear it up again. If he doesnt show up then it is much better for the Union, but either way the CSA has to work hard to get Missouri. You need to get at least 2 divisions there pretty quick and even then it relies on the Union sitting on his thumbs. If you can get it St Louis early it is quite a prize though, extra recuits and WS well worth having in the long run.

yeah but 1* Gens. with decent stats is a very rare commotity for the union (or monkey boys as Jab has nicknamed us :fleb: ).....why the south will get a few good ones; so all things being equal ta he$$ with the loyalty n give me a good leader to lead my minions to victory! (not necessarily MO either)

It doesn't refer to the union specifically. It refers to any human opponent who expects me to play like a human.
