siege tactics?

what is the most effective way to capture cities? ive just won a large battle with my corps, should i siege/assault the city with my corps or is it better just to leave some brigades to conduct the siege so that my corps can move on?

how does everyone else conduct siege warfare?

Depends how many boys are inside. If you think you have a huge advantage assault them. If not, buckle down and bring up the seige guns.
