Need Advice

Mon Jul 23, 2007 1:19 am

I love this game..it's very addicting. Yet I find that I must be missing something. I have read the forum and have absorbed the advise but I am still missing things.

1) Building an Army. I get that part but how do you build corps? Do you take a 2 star general and give him a couple of divisions to command..ie in the same stack with him?

2) Economy as the CSA. I try to build factories but still do not get any war supplies as the CSA? What am I missing.

3) Blockade runners as the CSA. Do I build lots of transports or just brigs. Do I then place them in the blockade box or?

I can get manpower and money through the various good advise on this forum but just have trouble with the 3 listed areas. Would appreciate any help.

1) To create a corps, you first need an army. Any two or three star general within command range of the army general can form a corps. To find the command range, click on the army commander and then hit the 'shift' button. Stack the proposed corps geenral with a couple of divisions and hit the corps create button.

2) I have not played the Confederate side. my understanding is that war supplies come mostly from blockade runners.

3) Yes to all parts. Make sure that blockade runners are using 'evade' movement. Brigs give you more protection, but transports carry more. I believe that brigs are recommended.

I usually industrialize Florida, TX and Arkansas. These are fairly cheap to upgrade and I generally have about a 100 war supplies coming in by the end of 61. I would not recommend relying on blockade runners to meet your WS requirements.
