Corps de Chasseurs

Sun Nov 09, 2008 9:07 pm

I've been reading some Civil War books recently, and a common topic is McClellan's lack of a Corps de Chasseurs. I understand this is a mobile force to follow through with breakthroughs, like Murat's cavalry or the Guard Cavalry. But in AACW terms, what would this consist of? Would it just be a cavalry corps? Or would it be a mix of cavalry, light infantry, etc.?

Thanks in advance

Caboose: So I say to the guy, "How you going to get the tank down to the planet?" And he goes, "I'll just put it on the ship." And I go, "If you've got a ship that can carry a tank, why not just put guns on the ship and use it instead?"
Tucker: Hey kid?
Caboose: Yeah?
Tucker: You're ruining the moment. Shut up.

I would imagine Cav and light Infantry.

In game terms it's cavalry, ie they do extra damage vs retreating forces.
There are three kinds of people: Those who can can count and those who can't.
