Saved Games

Thu Feb 14, 2008 5:47 am

A dumb question but one that could save a lot of time.

IF you save after turn 5 (where all your tedious moves and setting up is done)

Will all games played off that save have the same basic moves by the opponent (AI)?

OR, is it a % based game where certain things have a % of happening and each turn is independant of itself.

I know its a dumb question but I really don't have that much knowledge of the inner workings of a game without playing it agian and agian.

Since the first few turns ARE so tedious I was just hoping that I could always go back to that save and start another game that had different outcomes.

There are things that happen the first few rounds that differ from game to game, but what you suggest should work. Just make sure that you keep a safe copy of the "base game", so that you don't overwrite it when you continue your games from it.

I would recommend using the July 1861 campaign, but I'm not familiar with it myself; perhaps someone else is?
