Windows Vista Problem - Help Needed!

Hi -

I recently purchased a new laptop and am attempting to load AACW onto it.
The laptop is an IdeaPad Y510 with 32bit Vista, Intel Core 2 Due Processor, 4 G RAM and Nvidea GeForce 8600M GS 256 mb graphics card.

I can install AACW fine, but when I attempt to start the game, I get an error message:

"AACW.exe has stopped working"

The game used to work fine under WinXP on my old PC.
This is very frustrating and your help would be appreciated!

I have installed/re-installed several times and used the last patch.
I also updated Vista and still get the same problem.
