directx "burst" error

I am getting the same error others have reported in this forum when i switch out of the app and dont come back for a few minutes. I tried installing the omega drivers but did not help. I have a laptop with ATI mobility radeon x1600. installed omega 3.8.442). please advise. frustating.

This is a screen saver or power saver issue. As I suppose you walk away from the app only if you are not on battery, you can safely augment the delay before they trigger.

Not Power issue

I wish it were that simple. I switch away to a browser or Word (rules etc) to read things etc (sometimes another game.. it varies) after a few minutes when I come back it has the problem. So couldn't be screensaver or power I'm sorry to say.

you run another game while AACW is running? This would be normal then, DirectX apps don't like each other. Otherwise I can assure you that the vast majority of players and all testers can switch safely between a document, a browser and our games, so this would indicate a driver issue most probably.
