This may have been reported

Thu Dec 27, 2007 1:42 pm

Since 1.08 when the loyalty button is clicked, all regions loyal to the Union are shaded Gray and all loyal to CSA are shaded Blue. Just reversed , eh?

April 1861. Yep, I am CSA and loyalty filter in the South is all Blue although the percentages in the regions read correctly. Odd. The only Mod I am using is the Leader Mod.

I didn't look then. I noticed when I clicked the filter on about turn 3 or 4 I think. I am at work now but at lunch I can can start a new game with that scenario and see if it happens on turn 1. I'll report back then.

Started a new game of April, 1881 scenario and the shading is in fact reversed for the Loyalty filter on the first turn. It's not a killer for me as I rarely use it anyway. Any ideas on what went wrong?

Has anyone the problem? I don't have it. Have you changed the colors in one of the config file?

I and Paul Roberts also reported this in the patch thread. Note that it is the loyalty filter that have colors reversed (USA-gray, CSA-blue) and not the "ownership" filter (that is ok). This is with 1.08a, and RR mod, and in all scenarios, I think.
Note that I do not really recall if this is specific of 1.08a (and wouldn't swear in court if this has not been like that since the beginning, either :niark: ).

Could it be something to do with the RR mod ?? :8o:

Maybe I'll do a clean reinstall to check it, later on...

I am getting the same effect. Justed checked it, in Late Sept 1861, loyalty color is swapped. I am playing with the Leader and RR mod, on 1.08A.

I risk being repetitive:
Loyalty colors are correct for me.

1.08a, no mods, installed over 1.07i. I've patched and repatched, modded and un-modded since purchase, so this is NOT a clean install. :siffle:

What I see is a very close color difference between 55/45 Rebel, vs 55/45 USA. It is easy for me to see the difference when I zoom way out. CSA 55/45 is slightly more grey.

Now please don't be offended, but it is a fact that 10-15% of males have some degree of color blindness!!!! This could be a contributor! {I had to design for this in my working days!!!!}
Anyway. colors are OK in my installaion.....

Hi!
Unless i had developed color blindness just after installing 1.08a, i think this it's not the problem... :niark:
My installation is not "pristine" :sourcil: but pretty clean: new re-installation a month ago or so, updated to 1.07h, 1.07i, 1.08 and 1.08a. No mods at all.

I´m sure the loyalty filter color is reversed on my installation.
Checked on a new 1861 april campaign, turn one as CSA: deep south is BLUE. "Deep North" is GREY.
Of course, frontier states (Kentucky, Missouri... have a little of everything...)
Control filter color is OK.
Its strange not everybody gets the same problem... :bonk:
Cheers!!

Maybe we are developing a "filter-specific" color blindness (a new medical entity! I propose Pocus Syndrome !)

If this is based on the savings I have in bank, then one euro should be closer to truth :king:

I found it ! :cwboy:
I always play as Rebel, and as CSA the loyalty filter has colors reversed. But if I play as USA, the colors are ok (loyalty and ownership both blue for USA and grey for CSA) :tournepas
