Bug in Shiloh scenario

Fri Nov 02, 2007 1:24 am

Hi,

I think I have stumbled over a bug in the shiloh scenario.

Using the latest version of 1.07f (dated October 31, 2007 9:52am) I just reorganized my (CSA) forces and wanted to move them all to Humbold.

A major clash with the USA forces occur which the CSA side is winning (surprisingly always with the same result in casualties...) and then AACW dies. This happens regardless whether playing from the CSA side or the AI USA side.

I have attached all files from the "1862 Shiloh" folder.

Thanks, Snoopy

Code: Select all

An evil bug and, as far as I know, already discovered and fixed (in the code, no patch yet) by Pocus. I hope there will be a patch for that soon, as this bug stroke me too...
Thanks for the report. :)

Cheers
Norbert

Hi primasprit,

I assume this is the same bug (now in the April 61 scenario as the CSA)?

Do you have a timeline for a fix, since this seems to be a common error?

Thanks, Snoopy

Hi,

*shameless bump* :niark:

Is there a workaround for this bug? I can't continue my current game (since it keeps crashing due to this bug) and I don't want to start a new one.......

Thanks

Snoopy

Hmm, after disabling my antivirus program (Antivir Personal Edition) I didn't encounter the bug anymore :8o:

Anyone knows what the connection between AACW and an Antivirus program is?

That is strange, I don't see how a game logic bug (a bug I left in how I coded gameplay rules) can be affected by an external program!

Anyway... I can't issue a patch before wednesday, but if you are stuck with a bug, send me your game and I will process your turn with my current version. Hope it will help you wait.: support@ageod.com
