Save Game behavior in 1.05f(beta)?

Sun Jul 08, 2007 2:24 am

I'm a little confused about save games.
-if you Ctrl-Save a turn, does the game continue to write on top of the renamed save after your next turn? Or does it save back over the default name with the ~ in it? It seems to do both...
-If you hit home in the load game window, does your current turn vanish, never to be seen again?

I think I have confirmed this behavior:
Play scenario. Ctrl-Save a named gamed.
go to next turn.
go to main menu, open named saved game.
go to next turn.
result: from now on AACW will auto save over your named game, rather than the default ~ save game.
(this is in version 1.05f with the new sound mixer)

Ctrl-save do a 'save under', meaning you change the name, continue with this new one, and the old branch is left 'as it'.

Thanks. Wasn't the behavior I was expecting, but so long as it is the behavior you were expecting, that's fine. :)

What do you want the game to do? :) Either you do nothing but click on end turn, and it save the turn for you (up to 24 automatically that you can restore) or you create a duplicate. Should do the trick for those who don't play Ironman.
