Hi and welcome!

It would be useful if you give us more info about your game version (which patch you use), which computer and OS you have (Vista? XP?)
And also, please post the Mainlog file you will find on the logs sub folder of the game installation folder after experimenting the crash.
This file can give info to the technical support guys about what caused the problem.
For what you explain, it may be you are short of RAM memory to load all thee regions properly. How much do you have?

Regards!

While you are in the file, seek

TextureLevel = 3

and reduce it to 2. If it crashes, reduce it to 1, if it crashes, reduce it to 0.

Hi kieren!

At first you should install the newest patch and try again. You can find it here: http://ageoddl.telechargement.fr/latest/AACW_Patch.zip

If this don't work: Can you please send us the DxDiag report of your computer? It contains information about your installed hardware and the drivers you are using.

How to get it:

1. From the Windows Start menu, choose Run or press the "Windows Key" and "R"
2. Type "DxDiag" (without the quotes) in the Run textbox and press OK
3. Wait for the progress bar on the lower left to complete
4. Finally, press the button labeled "Save All Information..."

This is the file we need.
Please post it in the forum or send it to support@ageod.com.

Cheers
Norbert

The whole file please. :)
This will allow us to check what kind of hardware and which drivers you use. Maybe we can identify your problem there.

We got your DxDiag file and things don't look quite bright. Your configuration is very old (much below the specifications of the game) and your video driver is 4 years old too. More informations from Support in your mailbox.

Hi!
Check your video card maker (Nvidia? Ati?) web and check on the download section for the last drives for you card model.
Follow their instructions with attention or you can mess things badly.
But if the rest of your configuration is not up the game requirement it will not help much probably :(
What CPU, video card and RAM do you have?

From memory this is a 384 or 512 Mb computer with a 64 Mb Intel graphic controller. Driver from 2004.

:(
Don't think updating the graphic drivers will help much.
Kieren, you will probably need to get a new computer or at least upgrade video card (to a 128 MB one) and RAM (to 1 MB) to play the game.

Hi!

Good news for strategy players like us is that this kind of games are not very demanding.
AGEOD games don’t ask for much. I play all of them with a computer that is nearly 5 years old.
Any standard new computer will be able to play them without problem.
If you future PC will have windows Vista installed, get at least 2 GB or RAM. And if you can, 4 GB of RAM will be better.
On Windows XP 1 GB RAM is enough and 2 GB it’s great
.
I’m not an expert on current Graphics cards models, sorry.
One with 128 Mb is required for the AGEOD games, but I bet by now all have 256/512 Mb or more so any would be more than enough.
Just stay away of integrated graphic cards, as they are usually pretty crappy.
Get a dedicated card. Even a cheap one will play AGEOD games and much more with no problems. :coeurs:

Hi!
Maybe yes :w00t: . BoA is smaller and ask for less PC power than AACW.
If the demo runs well the game should probably do the same.
But expect slow turn resolution on big campaigns. :(
Check the demo campaign to see if your PC has power enough to move things with lots of units around.
Good luck with it!
Regards
